Uttrakhand Char Dham Yatra (12N13D)
Description
The Char Dham Yatra from Nepal is a spiritually uplifting journey that blends devotion and adventure. Starting in Kathmandu, pilgrims first seek blessings at the holy Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred shrines of Lord Shiva. From there, the journey continues into India, covering the four revered Himalayan shrines:
-
Yamunotri, the source of River Yamuna, where devotees trek through scenic valleys to worship Goddess Yamuna.
-
Gangotri, the birthplace of the River Ganga, where pilgrims take a holy dip and offer prayers to Goddess Ganga.
-
Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located amidst majestic snow-capped peaks and accessible by trek or helicopter.
-
Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas.
Over 13 days, the yatra takes you through sacred temples, holy rivers, and serene Himalayan landscapes. Along with darshan at the four dhams, pilgrims also experience the spiritual aura of Haridwar and Rishikesh, famous for evening Ganga Aarti and yoga culture.
