Description
Muktinath is a sacred pilgrimage site revered by both Hindus and Buddhists, located in the Mustang district of Nepal. Situated at an altitude of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) at the base of the Thorong La pass, it's known for its spiritual significance, natural beauty, and unique convergence of religious practices. The temple is a pagoda-style structure dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and it also holds significance for Buddhists who consider it a place where Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) meditated.
